A lifestyle-first coffee brand inspired by the routines that drive performance on and off the court.
Washington Wizards forward Corey Kispert is set to launch Bitter Truth Coffee in the coming weeks — a brand rooted in more than just athlete hype.
Kispert has spent the past year building credibility through his Instagram series “The Grind,” spotlighting local coffee shops across cities he travels to. Now, he’s turning that passion into a product — with a hands-on approach to sourcing, learning how beans are grown, harvested, and how flavor varies by region.
“I usually roll my eyes when athletes start brands,” Kispert admits. “So I want people to know this is more than that.”
The goal? High-quality coffee from great farms around the world, paired with packaging that reflects the mindset Kispert lives by — mottos, quotes, and ideas centered on discipline, routine, and consistency.
This is the new athlete-brand playbook.
Less merch.
More meaning.
Built around real habits — not endorsements.
If the coffee holds up, Bitter Truth could be exactly what Kispert hopes for: something people buy because it’s good, not because he plays in the NBA.
